FALL
The excitement and mystery of Samhain or Halloween now gives way to a quieter, darker time. The sun draws away from us and the moon mourns his passage. Yet, November brings its own special beauty. Even as we let go of the last shreds of Autumn, surrender what we did not accomplish or harvest in the Fall, we turn to the great giving of thanks. The old Celts counted grain and fruit and meat put away for the hard winter. We in modern times have so much more with which we are blessed.
